Some of the Basics

MATERIALS

All materials, paints and crayons, are safe, non-toxic and conform to ASTM guidelines.   The crayons brand is CraftyDab and the paints are Aquacolor, made by Kryolan.

LOCATION OF PAINTING AND SHOOTING

Paintings can be done in a professional studio or on location, indoors or outdoors.

LENGTH OF TIME

Paintings usually take 2 to 3 hours for partial body painting, substantially more for full body work.

NUDITY

Paintings range from non-nude, implied nudes, topless, to full nudity.  The decision about the amount of nudity is based on the model's comfort and the specifics of the painting.  While a model will never be asked to pose in a more revealing way than they are comfortable, some designs will require less of the body, and then less nudity.

PHOTOGRAPHING THE PAINTING

Unless specifically agreed upon before the painting begins, all paintings will be photographed for documentation.  Some paintings will be included in gallery exhibitions in a NYC gallery.

COMPENSATION

Currently, all paintings are done on a trade for images basis, a CD of all the images will be burned and given to the model at the end of the shoot.  Specific designs requested by the model will be charged based on time and complexity of the design.

COPYRIGHT

Unless otherwise stated all images were painted, photographed, and Photoshop retouched by Bob Elliott.  These images are copyrighted and all rights are reserved.
